Job Description

Aspire People are looking for experienced CMIS School Receptionists who want temporary assignments in schools covering for people who are off for unforeseen circumstances. Responsibility To provide a high quality reception service, working efficiently and effectively to ensure a smooth operational reception within school. Selection of possible duties ? Switchboard operation and supervision. Dealing with telephone enquiries to the school. ? Greeting visitors to the school, signing in and out, issuing security passes. ? Dealing with deliveries, enquiries from staff, parents, trades people etc.
? Using the CMIS system to access pupils? records and other information. ? Dealing with emergencies that are reported to reception. ? Overseeing the collection of confiscated items e.g. mobile telephones, jewellery etc and re-issue to students at the end of the day. ? Producing the daily student bulletin and distribute accordingly. ? Produce daily list of late students for detention, maintaining spreadsheet and sending group email. ? Working alongside and overseeing the student receptionists. ? Process petty cash sales to students/parents e.g. school ties and sponge balls etc. ? Co-ordinating lost property. ? Issue student toilet passes to students and maintain central register. Advising SMT of any issues/ concerns. ? Open, sort and distribute incoming post and distributing to staff via pigeon holes. ? Prepare outgoing post and topping up franking machine as necessary. ? In the absence of the First Aid and Welfare Officer, dealing with emergency first aid (on rota basis). ? Programming the telephone system and maintaining the telephone and fax machines. ? Maintain various reception records and archiving when appropriate. ? General administration as directed by the Office/Systems Manager e.g. letters, spreadsheets etc. ? Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons s/he is responsible for, or comes into contact with.
